Michael Guevara is a contemporary abstract artist born in 2005 based in Miami, Florida. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, He creates paintings that explore the relationship between color, texture, and movement. His work is defined by expressive brushwork, layered surfaces and a physical approach to painting that embraces spontaneity while maintaining a strong sense of balance and composition.

Influenced by the energy of South Florida and a lifelong appreciation for music and creative expression, Guevara approaches each painting as an exploration of the self rather then recreating a predetermined image. Using various brushes of various levels of stiffness and different thickness of paints he builds richly textured worlds that invite the viewer to step closer and really appreciate all of the layers. His paintings are created to be statement pieces within residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces while remaining open to personal interpretation. Through bold compositions and dynamic color relationships, Guevara aims to create artwork that sparks curiosity, conversation and emotional connection.

As an emerging artist, Guevara is focused on building a cohesive body of work, hoping to exhibit throughout south Florida and collaborate with interior designers, collectors, galleries, and art consultants.
